PeerVibes

This project intents to provide a framework and tools to create a web based social network on top of a peer-to-peer architecture.

Live chat, file sharing, news service, distributed backups and collaborative work support are in the set of services that will be provided by the final system. To integrate all these services in one single demonstration social network, the architecture should be modular, flexible and subsetable, allowing the several services to be configured and used using different communication protocols.

The different services will be supported by networking solutions based on peer-to-peer networks, through a new software suite for the Appia framework.
